Associate Professor Jane McCrohon is a consultant cardiologist at the Cardiac Health Institute since 2006 and sees patients at our Hurstville and Eastwood rooms. At CHI she also conducts and reports on diagnostic tests including ECG, Holter, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, resting and stress echocardiography. Jane is attached to the St Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst, Sydney, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales, as well as an Honorary Associate at the University of Sydney. Her special clinical interest is in the early detection and prevention of heart disease and the integration of cardiac imaging modalities (ultrasound, CT and MRI) in the evaluation and management of heart disease. Academically Jane has strong research interest in cardiac MR and CT and is involved in the supervision of both postgraduate and undergraduate students at UNSW. She sits on the National Examining Panel for Physician training and is involved in the editorial and review of several peer reviewed journals in Cardiology.
