Do I need a referral to see a Cardiologist?
Yes, you do need a referral from your GP to have a consultation with a cardiologist or to have a heart test at CHI. Once you have a referral, you need to make an appointment with our reception staff. Most appointments take between 30 minutes to 1 hour. Your referring doctor will be sent a comprehensive report including all your test results and a management plan from the Cardiologist who looks after you at CHI.
Where is CHI?
CHI has several locations throughout Sydney. Please see our contact us section for maps and directions.

%2B Medicare card
%2B Pension/DVA card

What will I need to pay?
Our reception staff will be sure to inform you of all relevant fees / charges at the time of making your appointment.
If you are a pensioner or a Veteran Affairs patient, we will bulk bill you, otherwise, we accept Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS and cash. Your account will need to be settled at the time of your appointment. Please note, we do not accept cheques. Will I need to go to hospital?
If, after the necessary evaluation by your cardiologist, he/she decides you need a coronary angiogram, coronary angioplasty, stenting of the coronary arteries or electrophysiology studies, then you will be required to go to hospital. Our cardiologists have visiting rights to Sydney Adventist Hospital, The Hills private Hospital, St George Private Hospital and other public hospitals around Sydney. Your cardiologist will discuss these options with you. If you have any hospital accounts enquiries please contact our Accounts Manager on 9858 9815.
